Simon started the first of his careers as junior member of staff working in family jewellers. By the age of 19 his talents had been identified and he was the youngest relief manager on the books.
From this, Simon was able to learn a variety of management techniques that enabled him to go onto become the highest performing Area then General Manager of one of the world's largest Jewellery retailing empires, still thriving today.
During his career Simon has worked in all regions of the UK taking over challenging areas and setting up many new stores.
After 30 years’ service, when the company went through a merger Simon decide to take a step in a new direction. Deciding he was too young to retire Simon trained as a management consultant with the Institute for Independent Business and through this came across the Thomas International Psychometric Assessments. With a keen interest in this Simon went onto work for Thomas International and was quickly promoted to Regional Sales Director. The insights given by the behavioural profiles enabled him to support numerous organisations with their interpersonal communications, selection and career advice.

Simon has worked as with local schools for the last three years through the Young Enterprise initiative and is looking forward to supporting schools to bring the world of employability alive in the classroom in the best way to suit them.

He is also a Business Adviser with the Bucks Skills Hub. Currently working with Great Marlow School encouraging local business owners to share their expertise amongst the students.
Where he has been a member Bourne End Lodge for 18 years which meets in Marlow, and assistant to the Provincial Grand Mentor.
Freemasons are particularly known for charitable work for non masons as well as masons - being the second largest contributor in the country only behind the National Lottery
